Research Interests

I am interested in the second messenger protein ERK (extracellular signal-regulated kinase) in the ventral tegmental area of the brain reward pathway in adulthood, and any long-term effects from chronic antidepressant treatment in the young. Viral-mediated gene transfer will be utilized to more closely examine the role of ERK.
